The Canary in the Coalmine Pt 1

How the story of South Africa should be a warning to the West

With the rash of political victories by communists Mamdani in New York, Wilson in Seattle and so on, the initial reaction by many on the right is to say: “Good, let them try it and they will see it fail and come back to us”. However the reality is the people that are wedded to this ideology will never see the error in their ways. The communists will just double down saying either that nefarious groups are preventing them from full communism or it just wasn’t tried hard enough. They know once the government handouts go out, it is very hard to take them back. To see how socialism/communism grows like a cancer, look no further than what has happened to South Africa.

There was always a false narrative taught in schools about the history of South Africa basically that all of South Africa was stolen from the natives. In reality, most of what makes up South Africa was uninhabited 400 years ago. The Dutch in the 1600’s established ports along the coast for resupplying trade ships from the east. Over time, the Dutch moved inland for farming, which did cause some issues with the native African tribes. As time moved on, the British Empire expanded its reach into South Africa and fought the Dutch farmers (the Boer Wars) where they were victorious and were incorporated into the British empire in 1910.

Obviously there were real issues with the age of Apartheid with the colony being governed by the minority population. But some of what we were taught by guilt ridden whites have led to a biased view. We were always taught that Mandela, and others, were jailed for their political views however this is not true. Mandela was a Marxist growing up and when thrown in jail it was not because of free speech issues but because the group he was affiliated with was a terrorist groups as they killed innocent people with the bombings of government buildings.

Over time, Mandela moderated his views when released and became president of South Africa as a member of the African National congress (ANC). To heal the past for both sides, there was a national reconciliation with the former president F.W. De Klerk. South Africa over the next 10 years was a model to be emulated in Africa both socially and economically and continued to under Mbeki. But after Mbeki, the leaders that followed have led to the precipitous decline of South Africa and erased everything that was good from the previous 10 years.

Both Jakob Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa were part of the Mandela revolution but both did not share his national unity movement. Both were schooled in the communist ideology at the time from the former Soviet Union and used what they learn and applied it to South Africa.. First, they started to take over state industries and awarded them to their cronies and others who had no experience for the position. For example, a former elementary school teacher became Minister for Transportation. It appears her only job for this position was to funnel money to friends of the government as she ran the best air carrier in Africa into the ground.

As you would expect with people that have jobs based not on merit but on connections, most of South Africa’s businesses have been ruined. Poverty, which has always been bad in South Africa increased substantially during the reign of Zuma and Ramaphosa. With the rampant and very visible corruption of the government, foreign investment is crashing as most see the past two presidents embezzling most of it for personal use. To get by, leaders get “buy-outs” from China, Iran and others signing away South Africa’s precious resources to keep the government running. This has also changed South Africa’s political connections: one time they were pro-Israel and Pro-British but now they have now sided by their puppeteers in China and Iran even to the point of submitting war crimes to the Hague against Israel.

Of course when it all went bad, Zuma and Ramaphosa scapegoated not their kleptocratic state but on the white population. This has led to silent war against the white population. It is said that today, there are now two attacks per day against white farmers each day which can include rape and murder. The judiciary has now been taken over by those favorable to the ANC making it impossible for non-ANC groups from challenging them as well as protecting the corruption done by government officials. They promise economic carrots to the black population to keep them in power.

Then you have the para-military wing of the ANC. A group led by Julius Malema, identified by their red berets, calls for the eradication of the white population. They do not mean to do this by political means but by genocide. The ANC and Ramaphosa try to portray this group as an extremist group but in reality they are the military wing of the ANC. Many of these rallies at the end chant “kill the Boer” referencing the white farmers but in reality refers to all whites in South Africa.

On this trajectory, South Africa has no future and most of its productive society will move on. South Africa will return to a tribal land in which inter-government wars will ensue, most of the population will suffer while the Chieftains will reap the rewards from selling of resources for their benefit from the Chinese and Russia.

So, how does this relate to the west and specifically to the US? First, history is being written on how the US was founded as well as the founding fathers. They do this as to make it seem like the US is an illegitimate country and needs to be redone through faux-history books such as the 1619 Project. The communists blame the founders as colonialists and slave holders to delegitimize them though it was known at the time that the founding fathers wanted to get rid of slavery but feared the lack of support from the south so they kept it. Moreover, it is easy to go back and condemn the past from today’s point of view, but slavery at the time was accepted. Not that I am trying to gloss over something that was terrible, but at the time slavery was acceptable.
